Our mission is to provide groomed and ungroomed winter trails for non-motorized use by people of all ages and abilities; and to provide winter recreation, education and community-building experiences.

4UR Ranch Fun Ski/Snowshoe and Ski Clinics. February 12th, 2022 CANCELLED due to lack of snow

Once again, our friends at the historic 4UR Ranch have graciously allowed us to ski and snowshoe on their trails. This year, The Rio Grande Headwaters Land Trust (RiGHT) will be hosting this event with us! For the full information, please go to the event registration page, HERE.

Ski Lessons – Beginner to Intermediate
These are optional. Sign up on the registration page.

Bring Your Own Lunch  and eat around the bonfire.
Sit around the bonfire and enjoy the beautiful winter day at the 4UR. Over 1400 acres of the iconic 4UR Ranch have been conserved by RiGHT and they will give a short talk, around the bonfire, about their work with the Ranch.

We will have hot beverages for everyone available. Please bring a mug. Some disposable cups will be available.

Please consider a donation or becoming a member in the
San Juan Nordic Club in exchange for this wonderful
opportunity. Memberships may be purchased with cash/check at the event or bought online, below.

Ski Rentals
Call one of our fantastic outdoor gear retailers if you need to rent skis or snowshoes for the day (or rent for the whole weekend and explore some more of our local trails). Prices vary but seem to run about $15/day for a whole X-country ski package.

Ski/Gear Swap

Donate, sell or buy outdoor gear. Items may either be sold for personal profit or donated and sold by the Club for our benefit.

For everyone’s health and safety, masks will be required.

Sponsored by San Juan Nordic Club and Alamosa Family Recreation Center.

When:  Saturday, December 4th from 10am – 1pm. 

Selling Gear: Registration is $1 per item, plus 10% of the sales go to the San Juan Nordic Club. Registration to sell items will occur Friday, December 3rd from 1pm – 5pm or Saturday, December 4th from 9am-10am. 

The swap will occur at the Alamosa Family Recreation Center at 2222 Old Sanford Rd.
